I have just acquired an HP Notebook which connects well to an old HP LaserJet 6L as a local printer, but it won't connect to the HP LaserJet M1005 MFP. It does not find drivers when it searches on the net, and the drivers won't install from the CD which came with the printer either - it just hangs after a while.
I read some posts from other people who also have related problems. Can anybody help please?

The Windows 7 32-bit Print/Scan driver software can be found here <http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/S
The Windows 7 64-bit Print/Scan driver software can be found here <http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/S
You are correct though, the installer on the CD does not support Windows 7 and there are no driver in Windows 7 or in Windows Update for this product. Hope this helps.

I just but a new HP notebook with Window7, and it does not connect with my Lasejet 1005 MFP. Installing the windows 7 driver as stated above does not work. The 32 bit version install correctly (at least it says so), but the printer driver installation still fails. The 64 bit version does not install: the program stops at some point while "preloading drivers" and then the system kills the application.

In order to set wireless printer in Windows 7-based PC, you need to position it in a central location away from metal objects. Now, find out if it a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi as most new printers are equipped with either Bluetooth or Wi-Fi technologies. After, that enables the sharing of your printers by informing computer’s operating system about adding printer to its network. Also, install drivers for the same. Hence, in this way you can set up wireless printer on Windows 7-based system. You can also set up other computer systems in the network for using wireless printer. get more information and help from here........
