We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.
HP Recommended

Have been using the printer on wireless and it was working fine until I had to cancel a print and might have accidentally press wireless button and "X" cancel button together and havn't been able to print since.

Did everything:

- update firmware: LJP1100_P1560_P1600_FW_Update.dmg

- update printing software: HP-ePrint_v2.4.1.dmg

- Reinstall wireless setting

But the printer will now shot from Add new printer- Bonjour setting.

The odd thing is When I switch the wifi on computer on and off the printer will show in Add new printer- Bonjour setting, for a second and disappear again.

The printer still works via cable.

There were 3 machine using the printer via wireless now has all same issue.

Thank you for any help or tip!

HP Printers - A 'Can't connect securely to this page' Error Displays During Setup

Once you connect the printer to your wireless network, the Apple device ‘discovers’ the printer on the network. Apple devices (Mac, iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch) use Bonjour (also known as mDNS) to discover the printer when installing on the network and whenever you print or scan. Windows PCs do not require Bonjour.
If your router does not currently support Bonjour, check the router manufacturer’s website for any firmware updates which might enable Bonjour functionality. If your Internet Service Provider (ISP) supplied the router, contact them about options to update or upgrade your router to one that supports Bonjour.
NOTE:
If your network uses one or more range extenders to increase the wireless signal range, these devices might not support Apple AirPrint. Make sure that the Apple device and the HP printer are both connected to the main router, and not to a range extender, when using AirPrint.
If your router does support Bonjour, the feature might be disabled in the router settings. Follow these steps to enable Bonjour on your router.
  1. Make sure that your computer is connected to your wireless network, and then open a Web browser such as Internet Explorer.
  2. Obtain the router IP address. Examples of default router IP addresses are 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1. However, your router might have a different IP address. If you do not know the router’s IP address, consult the router User Guide or contact the manufacturer.
  3. Type the router's IP address into the browser address bar, and the press Enter. The router settings/configuration page opens.
  4. Enter the router User Name and Password.
    NOTE:
Many routers use admin as the default username and password. If admin does not work, consult the router User Guide or contact the manufacturer.
  5. Navigate to the Wireless Settings of the router.
  6. Look for a setting that enables or disables Bonjour (sometimes called mDNS). Make sure that it is enabled.
  7. Look for a setting that enables or disables Multicasting. Make sure it is enabled.
  8. Click Save or Apply to save the new setting(s) to the router.

Hello eeoorhee,

Welcome to the HP Forums.

I see that you are having an issue with connecting the printer over the wireless connection.

I have a few steps that we can take to troubleshoot this issue.

First off, please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a power bar/strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer as an example but it is meant for HP products in general. Please click on the following link that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.

I also suggest that you do an uinstall of the software and drivers and reinstall.  Please click on the link that I have added for when Wireless printing support

If the troubleshooting does not help resolve your issue, I would then suggest calling HP's Technical Support to see about further options for you. If you are calling within North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions, click here: click here.

Thank you for your time.

Same problem exactly. The drivers have even been re-installed.

  1. solution is easy
  2. first, have you got INTERNET TROUBLE (probable cause) second, add a few more blankA4 to PAPER TRAY

internet

-- got a cell phone,  test the internet (wireless) --- if not, reset (power cycle) everything, and check it with your PC, you got wireless

second

download the software on this page -- run it -- HPPSdr

== if you don't see TEST PRINTER button, TEST Scanner button, you are in trouble

the setting of printer is chrome this www -- 192168.0.104

( over there, it even got toner empty%)

blue light should STAY ON, at all time,  blue light should not be blinking

--- remember, I said , check paper tray, when I put one single paper there, it cannot be detected

--- also remember, when you power cycle (off, on) printer, want for 45 sec to see what is the status of blue light (green light on, does not mean the printer work, wait for blue light)

--- if nothing work, find your USB - printer cable

rate THUMB UP for my answer

HP Recommended

no thumb up for your previous answer

basically, you are telling people to buy a new wirelss router and retry

the question was--- CANCEL task (maybe the printer is not ON or wirelss is not on) in the first place

then reprint (of course we check the print  queue already)

my solution, wait for another day,and try it again, I should get a thumb up for my answer, i.e. just 1 printed page for every day, until it works and use your mobile phone over local hot spot too

-----

another question,  black background

say a web page, or using notepadd++ with total black background, how to save on TONER, by reversing the whole B/W image -- we could capture image easily, then PRINTit and save on TONER

I don't have other Q, still think  HP is a good brand for all laser print for budget of200 US --- others brand cut cost in toner, technology, roller etc, but HP still got it standard and calibration right
