HP P1006 with a QNAP TS-209 NAS server

Hello

 

I have been having a problem trying to get an HP P1006 Laserjet printer to work with an NAS server QNAP TS-209.  Is there any limitation in the firmware of the HP P1006 that doesn't allow it to be networked? Thanks for any suggestions or comments.
