HP Photosmart 5510 (wireless) keeps disconnecting!

Are you on the router's network?  Just type one of the IPs at a time, not both at the same time.

You may have a firewall blocking access - disable any 3rd party firewalls (Windows firewall is probably OK).

Can you find the CD?

I have AVG secrurity.  I tried the IP"s again and I am getting nothing.  Let me try again.

we are having a similar problem - I just posted in another thread detailing the issues. Photosmart 5510 installed successfully on our desktop & worked beautifully for several hours. As of this morning, not only will the print function not work from the desktop, we are recieving a message indicating that our modem/connection is broken, we cannot access the internet (I know its working, as all other PCs & devices in the house can connect - I can also airprint from my iphone) & the home network does not reflect all of our devices. We just purchased this printer from Target yesterday...again, all was fine all night - several hours. As of this morning, everything "fell apart." I reset/rebooted the modem & router, I even uninstalled the printer software from the desktop. Its as if the software corrupted our desktop... Please help...

I spent about an hour on the phone with an HP Rep and we went through all this crap, etc etc and it still didn't work.

Then, all I did was unplug the router and it worked!!! Ha, go figure.
