I'm running WIndows 7 and had some Windows updates over the weekend, and now my laptop isn't communicating with my HP Office Jet Pro 8500. Downloaded the latest driver from HP, but still not working. Any ideas on a next step?

Before downloading the driver, was the printer uninstalled?
What brand and model is the router?
To confirm, is this the OfficeJet pro 8500 and not the 8500A?
Do you receive any error messages? If so, what are they?
What is the status of the printer in Devices in Printers?
