Has HP ever produced a reliable print server?

Almost all of my issues with HP printers (4100, 4500, 8500) are print server failures. If these were $.15 parts, I wouldn't mind so much, but at $399, with no hint of reliability, its a bit much. Can anyone suggest a print server that will at least last half of the life of a printer?
