What is the exact model of the printer?  For example, Officejet or Laserjet.

 

All Cloud services printers, including Apple's Airprint, can be found here.  

 

If your printer is not on this list, then it more than likely does not support Apple's Airprint.

it is a photosmart and it does not appear to be suitable for cloud or airprint dont know if i could convert/upgrade

You are very welcome.

 

The Photosmart 3310 is not compatible with ePrint, Airprint, or any mobile apps made by HP.  Sorry.

 

If this is a feature you need, you could upgrade to a printer that has those features.
