Hi Dana062564 and welcome to the HP Forum,

 

I understand that you are wanting to connect your Officejet 6500 printer to a wireless network. As long as your printer is a wireless printer and connected to your network, we should be able to get you connected.

 

In this document for Installing the Printer Software on a Wireless or Wired (Ethernet) Network has the steps you need to get the printer installed on your network. Your tablet should then be able to recognize it.

The very very very best solution is to wire the printer to your computer.....don't waste countless hours trying to get it to work wirelessly.

 

Or be prepared to reinstall it whenever you turn off the power to your computer/tablet and/or printer.  Wireless isn't forever, incompetence is 😞
