I have a laserjet 1536 which is non wireless and a wireless network using CICO valetplus router. Can I connect the printer to the router using the ethernet sockets in the back of the router?

Hi,
Of course you can. I have got a LaserJet 1022n connected to a Linksys router over an ethernet cable and it works well. If you have installed the printer via usb, remove it and install it again. Look at the IP address of the printer in the router and use it as a search parameter when searching for a network printer (add a network printer) on Windows. It should find the printer automatically and ask for a driver (download the latest from HP). Install it and that's it..![]()
When you connect the printer to the router, do not connect it by usb again..
