  1. On the Home screen of the product control panel, touch the right arrow ( ) to view more options.
  2. Touch Setup ( ).
  3. Touch Network .
  4. Touch Wi-Fi Protected Setup .
  5. Touch PIN .
  6. Touch Start . The product displays a PIN.
NOTE:The product begins a timer for approximately two minutes to allow you time to enter the PIN on the networking device.
  7. Enter the PIN on the WPS-enabled router or other networking device.

I've already done that. That's what it says online but that doesn't CHANGE anything. I had a network set up already so when I do that it shows the previous information and won't allow mw to change it.

Re: How to change the network name and wpa on my photosmart plus series b209

Please press the right arrow on the printer's front panel

go into "set up"

go into "network"

choose "restore network defaults"

then repeat the steps above, your new network should now be available to let you enter the new wep key.

Where do you enter the new network info after you have restored the settings?

Ok, I know that, that's what you put in the response above. After I push the start button, how do I changed the network. Do I have to go to he computer somewhere to change it? Do I change it on the actual printer? If so, how do I input the new network information?

Re: How to change the network name and wpa on my photosmart plus series b209

Here's what I want you to do; completely uninstall the printer software from your computer and restore to factory defaults as outlined above. Then follow the steps in the link below to reinstall wirelessly using a USB connection to initially establish connection. Once connection has been established and your wireless network information has been transferred to the printer you will be able to disconnect the USB. Step by step instructions are outlined in the link below.

So, you're telling me there is no way to just changed my network info? I have to completely uninstall and reinstall the printer? I'm glad I didn't pay $20 for someone to tell me that.

Re: How to change the network name and wpa on my photosmart plus series b209

Hi,

My name is Joe and I need your help with my b209 router problem.   I followed your instruction on the printer to point 6 but how to I bring up the key board on the screen during the countdown.  As you know, there is no physical keyboard on the printer.

Thank you in advance for your help.   My email address is getchius2@aol.com
