J6400 Suddenly will not print without plugging in a line.

First Timer.  I have been using a J6400 all in one for years wirelessly.  Suddenly it will not print without plugging in a line.  It has worked with Windows XP.  One am a patch had been sent to my login site to remedy the problem.  Now when my husband logs in it will not work .  I believe I need the same patch but how do I get it?
