I have seen errors for many different reasons. They can range from bad print cartridges to bad settings to failed hardware. I would first remove the print cartridges and power cycle the printer (unplug then plug back in). If that doesn't help try resetting the printer to default factory settings.
To restore to factory defaults.
- unplug the printer
- press and hold the red X button and the middle button on the right side of the LCD
- plug in the power.
This will erase any settings in the printer like wireless settings, but might also put the printer into a better state.
