Step 3: Set-up in control panel
Step 4: Select network
Step 5: Select Wireless Setup Wizard This screen does not appear. I have installed CD Version 7.0.1
Do I need a diferent version or need to reinstall the software? Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks Al

I don't believe the C5180 has wireless, so those don't appear to be the appropriate instructions for that product. There is no wireless setup wizard on the front panel (those instructions are referncing the front panel of the printer, not the software screen on the PC). To put this printer on the network, you just need to plug it into your network using an Ethernet cable.
You do need to follow the instructions to add a new device. This puts the right software on your PC to talk to the printer over a network. The add a new device option should show up when you insert the software CD. After you add it as a network printer, you can then either delete or keep the USB version, depending on your preference.

Since you don't have the CD, you can download the C5180 software for Vista 64bit from http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloa
After you connect the printer to the router using an Ethernet cable, run the software you downloaded, select add a device, and then select network connection.
Even though the printer is connected to the network using an Ethernet wire, you will be able to print to it from your wireless laptop.
