Re: No wireless connectivity

Please call HP about your C309a.  This is how to contact HP support: www.hp.com/go/totalcare (click on Printers & Monitors, there is a phone number on the resulting page).

Re: No wireless connectivity

Uhh, if you have a different problem, you should create your own post about it.

A C309a will not support AirPrint, but it will support the HP ePrint Home and Biz app.

Re: No wireless connectivity

I have a new HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911g. It is connected to my wifeless router which is a brand new Netgear 9550. My problem is intermittent wireless connectivity between my computers & iPad and the printer. I went through the steps in your owner's manual; it makes it work, but only until the next "can't find airprinter". I spent over 1-1/2 hours on the phone with ATT (my DSL server, and concidentally where I purchased the wireless rounter). After all their tests they tell me the problem lies with your configurations/connections (as best I understood them). Can you help me or shall I take the printer back to Costco and get a different brand?

Re: No wireless connectivity

It is likely your AT&T router.  Let's try to work around that.

First, restart the router by pulling its power plug momentarily.

Next, set a static IP address and external DNS for the printer:

- Print a Network Config Page from the front of the printer. Note the printer's IP address.
- Type that IP address into a browser to reveal the printer's internal settings.
- Choose the Networking tab, then Wireless along the left side, then the IPv4 tab.
- On this screen you want to set a Manual IP. You need to set an IP address outside the range that the router automatically sets (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') to 250
- Use 255.255.255.0 for the subnet (unless you know it is different, if so, use that)
- Enter your router's IP (on the Network Config Page) for the gateway.
- Enter 8.8.8.8 for the first DNS and 8.8.4.4 for the second DNS. This is Google DNS. You can choose another external DNS if you wish.
- Click 'Apply'.

Finally, make sure you have enabled Web Services on the front of the printer.
