OfficeJet 6500 E709n connected wirelessly w/ static ip of 192.168.1.50
My Win7 PC connected w/ wired ethernet directly to the router always can see the connection
My Win7 laptop connected wirelessly constantly looses the connection and shows that the printer is off line.
I have run the scrubber and reinstalled multiple times, as well as installing the networking patch.
I ran the HP Network Utility and low and behold, the printer all of a sudden shows connected.
I need a solution that does not require running the HP Network Utility everytime I need to print from my laptop.
Please help. Let me know if you need any additional information.

Is the IP outside the DHCP range? If not, move it outside the range. Need help? Just holler!

I suspect your router. Tell me about your network - router brand/model, encryption type (WEP, WPA, etc) and ISP type (DSL, Cable, etc).
Also, have you disabled your security system's firewall in the wireless-connected PC?

I noticed that there is an update that addresses this issue for Win7 64b-bit here.

Most inane device ever. After removing everything, reinstalling everything, and then running the patch you selected, the device stayed connected for a few weeks. Tonight, tried printing again, but it is showing it off-line. Connects fine w/ my wired desktop PC, but when I try to Launch/Show HP Resolution Center, it gives me the error,
"HP Solution Center cannot run because your device installation is not complete.
Please plug in the USB cable or re-run the setup program from the installation CD for a network installation.
If this does not complete the installation, or you do not have the CD, access the HP help files by clicking the Start menu."
Not the first time receiving this error. I can ping it's IP, but I cannot web browse to it.
Pretty sure this is my last HP printer...
