HP Now has a fix for the Officejet 6500A All In One printer,s paper mismatch error. Simply on the web as for HP teck support,they will take over your computer, download the software Fix and thats it!!!

Thank You! I just purchased this printer (Officejet 6500A) and could not print due to a paper size/type error. I downloaded the new firmware and it now works!! Plus the printer now shows up as a wirless device which it would not do before the fix! THANK YOU!

Thanks for the link - sounds like it should be a good fix, however when I run it shows my Status as up-to-date with this firmware image already installed.

I was having the same paper mismatch error after printing photos and then returning to normal paper. This update fixed it (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=mp-89912-2&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&...) from above.

To make mailing labels fit templates (e.g. Avery) on HP officejet 6500 from Windows XP, you must print "Borderless".

Click:  File > Print > Properties, then  use the Features tab and click on the Borderless box under "Paper sizes".

This may solve some other problems too.

Tried using a link you posted to fix my "paper mismatch" problem, but it wasn't recognized, I see it's old - is there a new link?  This is exactly the same problem I'm having.
