Yeah, mine too, sort of. If I don't use it for a couple of days the connection just drops and I have to go thru all manner of machinations to get the system talking.

I'm on an Apple TimeCapsule/Airport extreme so I'm always alerted to updates so I know I have the latest firmware (but I did check to make sure--and I do)

When this happens, is the printer still connected to the network? Print a Wireless Network Test from the front panel to see if it lists your network.

Well, no, that's the problem, isn't it?  It disconnects from the network. Or, at least it does for all intents and purposes. If you'll see my previous posts herein, I said I've printed out this report and that report and everything says it's connected to the network. Except it won't print anything.

In my case, when it happens, the blue LED's wifi connection is on, but in the router, it is given as disconnected. In my router log, it happens thousands of times throughout the day.

Detail: The router is on the side of the printer.

I believe it is firmware problem, because my home network does not fall.

Note: print dozens of reports saying he was all right or saying it failed

I have same problem.  Have reset 4-5 time past 6 weeks.  Magically the Mac OS x Does not recognize the printer at random times  Taking too much of my time

I guess I am trying to describe two different scenarios where the printer appears offline:

1. The printer is actually offline - there is no longer a valid IP address assigned to the printer.

2. The printer appears offline because, although connected, network traffic cannot wake it from sleep.

These situations require different actions.  I think I hear y'all describing #2, right?

I use a program that shows all the traffic on my network.

The chart showed the exact time that each device was connected to the network.

The printer is on for about 02 or 03 minutes and is off for several minutes.

Today for example, the graph shows (from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM) the printer has run only twice on the network: 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM and lasted 02 and 03 minutes  respectively.

An observation: what I described above is when the printer is in energy save mode. Because when it is active, works perfectly.
