Hello,
I'll give my specs first:
HP Windows 7 64bit PC hard wired to Belkin N+wireless router w/WPA-PSK security. The printer is connected to the network wirelessly about 15 feet from the router.
I'm having issues with my Photosmart B210e staying connected to my computer. The only way I can get my computer to see my printer is to restart the printer. After the printer boots up I can print from my computer for about 10 minutes. After that the computer can no longer maintain a connection with the printer. According to the display on the printer I am still connected to the network but when I try to print I always get an error to the effect of the computer can not establish a connection with the printer. I have to restart the printer if I want to print again. I do not have another computer to install the printer on, however I can send an e-mail to my printer from my phone which will print when my computer does not see my printer.
I have had the printer for a little over a year and it has always done this. I don't print things very often but I still don't think it should be necessary to power cycle the printer everytime I want to print.
According to the Support product page there is an update for my printer. When I attempt to update the printer from the display it says my printer is up to date. I have tried to update it many times and there has NEVER been an option to update so unless the updates apply themselves automatically I'm not sure why my printer can't find the update. Also on the product page there are drivers dated 11/2010. I bought my printer from Best Buy in 01/2011 so I'm not sure if I have the most up to date drivers. However when I try to download and install them the install always fails giving me no description as to why it failed. It then tells me it is downloading a solution to the problem and installs an icon on my desktop. As soon as I click this icon it says it can not be used because there is no internet connection which is not true because I can open a browser and surf just fine.
-I have attempted to turn energy saver mode off which did not work.
-I have attmepted to run the HP network diagnostic utility. If I run it as soon as I boot the printer up it works and shows that there are no errors, if I wait 10 minutes and try to run it it can't find my printer.
-I have attmepted to assign my printer a static IP address, I still have the same issues
I would appreciate any help that could be given, thanks for your time.
Rob

Belkin routers have had some problems with HP printers. Check that your Belkin has the latest firmware. Use the Belkin CD to do this.

Thank you, updating the firmware on the router is allowing the printer to stay connected. The way I know the printer is staying connected is because I can access the embedded web server, previously I could only access this for about 10 mins after boot up.
However I now have another issue. When I was attempting to update the drivers using the HP photosmart software suite that I downloaded from HP website I obviously had to attempt to install the software. For whatever reason it can not install my printer any more. The first option that pops up is would you like to install printer via usb or network. I click network printer and instantly get a failed installed.
I have also tried the using CD that came with the printer. It gets as far as installing basic drivers and fails giving me no description as to why.
I restored the printer to all factory settings including network settings and then attempted to run the CD again and I got the same error.
If this needs to be moved to a new section at this point please move it there, and once again thank you for answering my original question.

I am having what I thought was a similar problem. However, all my other computers don't have a problem with seeing the printer. So, that leads me to believe that it isn't a router issue.
I recently replaced my router/modem and my ProBook 4710s hasn't been able to print since. I am running Vista 32bit SP2. All the others are XP or Windows 7. I have uninstalled the driver and reinstalled from the HP.com. When the set-up wizard gets so far and it freezes and I can't advance or go back nor cancel the process. This computer was seeing ithe printer fine before.

Type the printer's IP address into the address bar of a browser on the ProBook. Can it "see" the printer?
Download and run this utility: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloa
What does it say?
