HP want a credit card number to make sure i return a zeen that is stuck in one mode that is usless to me.I think this is utterly rediculeous to even suggust this.I bought the product in good will that it may last far a while.Now less than a year latter it doesnt work and im stuck with it still under warranty. I will never buy hp again because of this .Please let me know of any oppinons or help on this thanks

They will ship you a replacement but want to make sure you return the bad unit, hence the request for a credit card. If your broken unit is returned within the 15 days (?) allowed your credit card will not be charged. This should have been explained to you when you called.
I had the same experience when calling for service for a c310a. I was reluctant to give a credit card number but there were no charges. HP sent a replacement printer and a return label for the bad one.
