Printer issues

I am trying to install a new printer, HP4620 ALL-IN-ONE PRINTER, Wireless printer.
 After the installation, the printer only will print a word doc. Will not print Excel, or a PDF file? And I can’t make this new printer “MY Default Printer” my computer still recognize my old printer (Photosmart-7760) as Default printer! I cannot Undefault this old printer or even uninstall old printer files, because they are not listed under Photosmart printer? I ran HP Diagnostics program, and click on Printer , and saw Photsmart printer listed, and the only file associated with this printer was “UNIDRV.DLL” file? I know I shouldn’t  delete  a DLL file!

I’m at my wits end, I hoping someone can help me, or otherwise I will return this HP all in one printer!!!!

Update on my Issues:

Monday night was on Phone with HP Tech Support from 10:30 PM until 3:15 AM... They try , but NO solution!

HP , said they will have someone call me within 24 hours (from another department) ... NO CALL

Last night I called again , talk to another Rep, he transfer me to another department, (Remote Depratment?)

Agent said it will cost me $99 for them to try and Fix my Problem ??? (They Claim its a Computer Issue)

I contested , saying the new Printer Software, Did NOT overwrite old Printer software , so it should be a Printer Issue. but HP say no.... My next call is to Customer Service, to Get a Return Ticket for printer.

I have an Old saying  "YOUR ONLY GOOD AS YOUR LAST JOB"....My next computer will be APPLE !!!!!

Are you able to right click>delete the Photosmart 7760 under Devices and Printers? If not, is there an error?
