I have about given up. Canon, here I come. Work arounds are for people who are retired with lots of time on their hands. Still trying to get my 7410 all in one, scanner to work. Not happening. Hp get your act together. I already dumped my hp laptop, desktop and soon to be all in one.

Well Dot4 - i tried the new Doctor and still have the same problem printing. my family's patience is neared the end, and soon I will probably have to find an alternative solution to the problem. I would estimate that I've spent 20-30 hours on the problem. Hope that HP soon makes a driver that works with Win 8.1

The HP printer control tile on the tile start screen is the one that allows me to scan successfully. The HP Scan tile gives the same error message as from the desktop. Unfortunately, I do not know how I installed the HP printer control tile unless it came in when I reinstalled the printer software after my conversion to 8.1 from 8.0. I hope this helps.

I have an HP Officejet Pro 8000 and two Lenovo PC. After an upgrade to Windows 8.1 , I can no longer print . I have tried everything that HP specifies to do. I have uninstalled and installed the driver several times, ... on both PC. I ran the last HP Print and Scan Doctor nothing works.
If I print from Word , I get an error message "There is no valid printer" Funny, when I print, I point to my HP printer which glows green " READY" ? ? ? . When I print from other applications, nothing happens, there are no print in the print queue and no error message, just nothing.
The only program that can print, is the HP Printer program, this program can print a test page. Scan Doctor says that everything is OK, but the program cannot even print a test page .
My printer is 3-4 years old, is this too old for HP to make a driver??

My HP printer is running low on toner, unless HP makes a driver that works before it is empty , I see no other solution than buying a printer of another brand. I always bought HP printer , but this is not okay .
I work daily with IT and have to say that I have never seen anything like this. I would estimate that I've spent 20-30 hours on the problem and my family has no more patience left.
Does HP at all take this issue seriously?

After installing the newly released HP printer firmware 2014-01-10 , Version20131216 for windows 8.1, Most recent Windows updates released on Jan 15, 2015 and uninstalling and reinstalling HP LJ-Pro-200-color-MFP-M276-full-solution-12201.exe , my laserjet pro 200 color M276 all in one seems to be back to funtioning completely and scanning can be done from desktop, scanner to folder, etc.

I am having the same problem with my two printers - LaserJet CP2025 and Photosmart B209a All in one. Updated drivers. Tried print and scan doctor. NOTHING WORKS!! ALSO - cannot download firmware for the CP2025, says I can't use "run as..." command, but I am the only account on this computer! I get one of two messages when trying to print: 1) failure with error 61: printer queue is full. 2) Test page failed to print. Would you like to view the print troubleshooter for assistance? Unable to create print job.
I have been working on this problem for FOUR DAYS NOW! Please let me know what I can do!!! I'm not rich, and I can't afford to replace the two printers, so PLEASE do NOT use that as a solution.
