Replace defective wireless card in 7410 all in one

My HP Officejet 7410 stopped turning on pass the "invent" LCD screen until I disconnected the wires in back to the wireless card.  The printer works fine wired via an ethernet cable but I no longer have direct wireless access - I had to designate it as shared via my main computer.

Question:  Does it make sense to try o replace the defective wirelss card?  If so how?  If not is there another solution as I would prefer not to have a wired conection which is why I purchased this printer.

Re: Replace defective wireless card in 7410 all in one

Hi,

I have the same problem.  I circumvented it by unplugging the card , booting the printer to life, plugging the card back in, finding and joining the network.  As long as the power is never shut off..it works fine as a stand alone wireless printer.   I have not checked in to  replacing the card.. My expectation is it will be cost prohibitive.

Good luck!!!!

The wireless card for this printer, unfortunately, is not a user-replacable part. so you're better off getting a new wireless printer with better features and performance.
