The wireless radio is not functioning on my Photosmart Premium C309A

You can try to reset the printer.  Turn it off, hold # and 9 while turning it back on.

I have tried the #9/Reset.  Reinstalled the software because all the networksettings disappeared.  This did not fix the printer.  The wireless light looks as if the wireless is working but I'm still getting the "radiio not working" .  Is there a way to replace the radio?

Yes you can replace the radio.  Several people on this board have done so.  Search the board for their posts.

I contacted HP Customer Care and was told the radio was not a part i could purchase.  They offered me a deal to "swap" out the printer but the deal is not quite something I want to do at this time.  Is there another place I can get the part?

I am having the same issue. This morning, printed fine. Had to turn the printer off and now when I turn it back on? Nothing. The Wireless Network Test Report states "The wireless radio is not functioning. Contact HP Support.***"

So the simple act of turning the printer off, and back on about 30 minutes later, I went from having a fully functioning printer to one that, the way I use it, at least (as it is on a completely different floor from most of my machines, which most do NOT have Bluetooth), an expensive paperweight. 

Completely disappointed by this.

#9 does nothing to solve the issue. Stuck on "Now searching for wireless routers" for about 20 minutes.

Anything else that can be done? 

As it stands now, I will deplete the ink using Bluetooth from one Mac, but my next printer will most definitely not be HP if this can't be fixed.

Ya this is garbage, all these printers are seemingly having the same part problem. WHY HP! WHY! We don't want to swap, or spend more money. If we knew we were buying lemons, we wouldn't have bought them in the first place. I will make it my MISSION in life to rate all of your products with a detailed explination of your fail wireless cards just to make a point.

Thank you so much for your reply.  I have contacted HP as per your instructions and they will be sending me a replacement printer.  I'm very satisfied with the solution HP has provided.  I am a very loyal HP customer and  thrilled that HP is responsive to its customers..

I'm not sure where to go...my c309 has never had the wireless function work....I thought it was my laptop when its wireless function was not working.  Now of course it is out of warranty.  I was given a new MAC and I had a technician set it up....ofcourse he found the wireless radio on the printer not functioning.  So I called the Technical support and was ready to pony up the $$ for help, only to find it was a very nice person in India whom I could not understand.  Bear with me, I'm a grandmother in her seventies and I'm trying to be computer literate :-)  Is there any hope I can salvage this printer without a huge outlay?  It has never worked as a wireless and of course I thought it was me, that's my generation!
