We have a HP Photosmart B8550 connected to a XP desktop. We share that printer with other XP desktops on the network. We also have other printers on other desktops that are shared. We have recently purchased laptops with windows 7 and the B8550 is the only printer we can't print to. It finds it on the network and it will add into the printers and faxes on the laptop but when you try to print a test page we get an error 0x0000007a.

On the laptop .....
A) Devices and Printers
B) Add a printer
C) Add a local printer
D) Create a new port: in the add printer wizard from the control panel
E) Select LOCAL port (unless your printer is a purely networked printer with an IP address then chose TCPIP)
F) Enter the XP network name or IP address
G) Install the Windows 7 driver
