The Officejet 6000 wireless printer is connected a laptop running Windows 7. I have a Linksys range extender about 2 feet from the printer. I run the Network Configuration Page and Wireless Network
Test Report. Everything is almost always fine except that occasionally I get an IP address that is
way our of range (e.g. 169.254.197.192)
Very often, the printer does not print! The commands are received but not acted on by the printer.
I run the printer troubleshooter. Most often, the message is that there are no drivers installed.
In fact, the most recent drivers are installed but not recognized.
Also I the printer often replies to a printer command with a message that says "job not printed, the printer
is in an error state." I don't know what an "error state" !
Any help would be much appreciated. I have had multiple--and often-long chats with techs but they have
been difficult slogs for both sides and with no lasting resolution to the same problem(s).
