Re: Why isn't my HP Officejet J4680 connecting to wireless?

I have just incurred a similar problem. Ive reinstalled software and drivers and have run several hp diagnostic programs including the patch to no avail. My officejet j4680 will not connect to my wireless router. I went through the wireless setup on the printer console and I got message that it was connected and entered OK. I thought I would get a report but did not and cannot find a menu item to print the report. I also asked comcast for help and when I was doing wireless setup for printer, the comcast rep said he saw the printer connect to the wireless router and then drop out. So it appears that initially the printer is trying to connect but then drops the connection. The end result is I cannot use the HP solutions center softer to control the printer because HP solutions center is not seeing this printer. Here are some details that I hope help:

Windows 7 64 bit with all updates applied, Arris TG862 Gateway supplied by comcast(Includes modem, internet connection and router all in one box). All Windows 7 network software can se this printer. If you need additional info please lert me know. On the surface this appears to be an HP problem with Windows 7. So please someone provide a fix.

Re: Why isn't my HP Officejet J4680 connecting to wireless?

So you can type the printer's IP address into a web browser and you can see the printer's settings?

Download and run this utility: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=mp-104282-2&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en...

What does it say?
