I have a Linksys N Router with two desktops (Windows XP & Windows 7), and two mobile (UMPC running Windows XP Tablet & Gateway laptop running Windows XP). All of the computers except for the Gateway can see & use the 4500. I can use the browser on the laptop to access the printer (IP: 192.168.1.102), and see all of the info. The Gateway can share data with the other computers, it just doesn't find the printer on the install. Even if I use the advanced option and provide the IP address. I get an error message: "The specified service is not an installed service." At this point I am clueless as to what to try next. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Thanks for your suggestion. I downloaded and ran the utility. It found the printer on the network, and all the network details: IP Address, MAC address, etc. When I tried to go to the next step, it couldn't find the software to load the printer, and when I tried to install that software, it couldn't find the printer. It looks like a Catch 22. Load the utility to solve the problem with the installation, but load the software so that the utility will work...nothing works!

Make sure your operating system is completely updated, then get the latest software for your printer from the "Support & Drivers" link at the top of this page.

I have the latest updates to the OS & the most recent drivers. Apparently, the HP Network Services Support service is not running which means that the installation can't see the network devices. When I try to start the service from services.msc, the error message says that the file cannot be found. I tried installing that services file from the installation disc, but it didn't work. I'm kind of stuck at this point.
