Wireless Print Server compatibility for HP LaserJet P1005

I recently purchased a HP LaserJet P1005 for home use and was considering putting in a wireless print server at home for that printer and another that I have.  Does anyone know what wireless print servers are compatible with this printer?  I can't find a lot of information on print servers online and I'm having trouble with finding what would be compatible.  Any help would be appreciated....thanks!

Re: Wireless Print Server compatibility for HP LaserJet P1005

Hi,

I would like to inform that the laserjet p1005 printer is HOST based printer and does not support the orint servers.

It is not recommended to connect the printer to a printserver, it is best used with USB connection

Re: Wireless Print Server compatibility for HP LaserJet P1005

I'm using the P1006 with a Zonet ZPS2112 multi-port print server. It was straightforward to get it working with Windows XP. But Vista was a challenge. I finally had to plug the printer into the Vista laptop's USB port and let Vista install it as a plug-n-play device. Once that was done, I unplugged the printer from the laptop and back into the print server. Then I went to the printers applet in the Vista control panel and changed the port for the newly installed printer from USB to the TCP/IP port I had set up for the print server. It was a pain, but it worked. And just in time... I was getting ready to take the printer back.

Re: Wireless Print Server compatibility for HP LaserJet P1005

Trying to set up a wireless print server (Airlink 101 - USB 2.0 / 1-Port wireless) I have found this message: "USB port print test requires Native DOS Mode support in your printer".  Is there any chance to use with HP LaserJet P1005? Any help? Thanks.
