Yes,
It works when I connect to USB. However when I get to the stage of disconnecting cable my mac cannot find the printer. The printer has an ip address so I presume that the issue is with the computer. The internet connection is wireless. Essentially airport can't find any devices
Thanks

OK, great. It sounds like the printer is connected to the Airport, which is a great start.
Restart the Airport by pulling its power plug momentarily and letting it restart to the green light state.
Then reset the printing system:
- Go to System Preferences > Print & Scan
- Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
- Select the plus sign to re-add a printer. Select the Defualt tab on the top of the window. Look for the printer, select it and wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.

I run Mac OSX 10.5.8.
My router is a Netgear DGN2000.
My issue is that I cannot connect the printer wirelessly. My router firm is up-to-date. I have tried to follow the instuctions that came with the printer and the advice posted in this forum to no avail.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards!

On the front of your printer push the Wireless button, scroll to Restore Defaults.
Push the Wireless button again and scoll to start the WPS - Pushbutton method. Within 2 minutes after that push the WPS button on your router.
After that, you will be able to run the HP software and it will find your printer already on the network.

Hi,
I followed the steps you provided and it's still not working. I tried to configure the printer by using the USB cable with my Mac and it couldn't find the network.
I have security enabled on my DSG2000 for Mixed WPA-PSK+WPA2-PSK,
Channel: Auto
Mode: Up to 270 Mbps
Kind regards.

OK, here are a few ideas:
1. Change your router channel to 11. Yeah, I know it sounds nuts, but it works.
2. Make sure you restart your router by pulling its power plug momentarily.
