Have HP Office Jet 6500A with Belkin router. has not worked properly since I bought it.Prints sometimes and other times says not connected.

What operating system?  What error messages do you get?  Print a Wireless Network Test from the Network menu on the front of the printer.  Is it still connected to your network?

It says:wireless conn belkin.e16,computer is conn to internet.Did a test page successfully.

OK, let's reinstall the HP software but make sure to get the software for your printer from the "Support & Drivers" link at the top of this page.

 

After the printer software installs, restart your PC.

 

Do you have a Security System (like Norton) on your PC?  What is it?

Try disabling Kaspersky temporarily and retry printing.
