My HP 8500A Plus Officejet printer is connected to the wireless router (Netgear WNDR 3700 firmware release 1.0.16.98) via cat5 Ethernet cable. The printer is defined to win7 as a network printer. When the system (Dell laptop, WNDR3700 router and HP 8500a printer) sits idle for 10 to 15 minutes or more jobs will not print. Win 7 indicated the print job is ‘Pending’. The printer indicates ‘Now Printing’. The print task never completes. I must then power off the printer, power it back up and re-spool the print job. Printing will then continue just fine and will continue to print many jobs as long as it does not sit idle for 5 to 10 minutes or more. This same problem occurs after I wake up my laptop after it is in sleep mode.

I have a HP Photosmart Plus B209a Printer which is wireless and shared w/other computers. Up until yesterday, the printer worked fine; however, the printer is not printing anything "black", nor am I able to copy any docs directly from the printer. The color ink is printing fine. I have performed all of the troubleshooting tasks, incling cleaning the printheads. I have even installed a new black cartridge, and it still will not print. How can I resolve this problem?

Router is Verizon Actiontec (Atheros AR5007) Wireless. My computer/printer/router have been set up & working approx 6 years now, and over last few days I've had constant problems with printer being offline and not printing. I can click and change to "online", but it won't stay. I've re-added my printer at least 4 times. My internet works find, the computer diagnoses says wireless network is connected and has no problems. I've turned everything off and on/reset numerous times, and even "reset" the router. My printer (all-in-one) seems to work fine with regular copying. However, the fax doesn't seem to be working. I just don't know what to try next.
