i have a hp deskjet 6980 wireless printer. my new laptop is win7 64 bit. offline. any suggestions?

My old laptop was XP. My new laptop is Windows 7, 64 bit. The printer indicates it is connected to network (ready). When I print from laptop it goes in queue, but get error that indicates printer is offline. Note, that I was initially able to print a few days ago. I never downloaded a new driver, when I recently looked for a new driver I found out there was none to download. Any suggestions.

Hi,

 

Please download driver and application from the following site and install them on your new Windows 7 machine. This should help:
