i have my macbook connected to my iphone (mobile hotspot) and i can't print....am i able (180 Views)

I am using my iphone as a wireless mobile hotspot and it's connected to my macbook, i can't seem to print to my HP PHOTO SMART C4580.  this printer has already been installed to the mac, is the problem because i am using my iphone as a wireless router?

Yup, your iPhone is not a wireless router, it is a wireless hotspot (direct  link to the Internet).

 

Do you have a wireless router, even it is not connected to the Internet?  Are you using a Bluetooth link between your Mac and the iPhone?  If your wifi is not being used on your Mac we could set up a direct wifi link between the Mac and the printer.
