My wireless printer works fine, however my router quit working so I plugged in my printer via the UBS cable and it will not print. Troubleshooting has not helped. I need to print for a few days before I can replace my router..

Start > Control Panel > Devices & Printers. Delete all instances of the printer.
Now, re-add the printer:
1. Click the Add a printer button
2. Select Local printer
3. Select USB connection.
4. It will ask for which driver to use. Select Hewlett-Packard from the list of manufacturers and select and select your printer model. Click Next.
If your printer model was not listed, then select Have Disk, browse the HP CD that came with your printer and select the first file that starts with hp and ends with inf. Click Open then OK. Select your printer model. Click Next.
5. If you are asked, use the currently installed driver.
6. It may ask for the Printer name -- enter a new name or use the existing one. This will be the name of the printer that you select from other applications.
7. You may be asked to share the printer. Choose NO.
8. The Print Test Page box appears. Go ahead and print it.
9. Click Finish.
