When I ran the wireless test report, it came back with an error wireless radio not working, contact hp support.  I am out of warranty, should I just buy a new one or can it be repaired?

Re: j6480 wireless radio not functioning

With the printer ON, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer for 30 seconds or so.

If that does not work, on the front of the printer go to Setup > Network and Restore Network Defaults.

Re: j6480 wireless radio not functioning

Turn the printer off.  Hold the # and 6 keys while turning it back on.  That will reset the printer.

Re: j6480 wireless radio not functioning

PrintDocc - already tried that and it didn't work.  (In a different post on this subject for a different printer, you said to follow hold the keys down for 10 seconds after turning it back on and then follow instructions - I didn't get any instructions and it just started as it usually does.  Did I do something wrong, like not hold keys down long enough?)

Re: j6480 wireless radio not functioning

Yeah, hold the # and 6 keys down for 5-10 seconds after you press the ON key.  The printer should indicate that it has reset.

A hard reset is the same thing but use # and 9.  This will lose all of your personal settings that you may have configured.
