photosmart 2610 network problems

i have a photosmart 2610 all-in-one it works perfectly fine when i connect it thru my usb cable. only thing is that i have 3 computers in my house and all of whihc are being used mostly for school work.when i first got my printer everything worked fine untill recently when it stoped responding to my network connections...

when i look at my network settings my ip, subnet, and gateway are all 0.0.0.0? ok so i figured i add them manually and see what that dose... nothing happen everything stays at 0.0.0.0... i do a network restore but still nothing happens! i print out a config and everything is in the off mode. im not sure how to turn the network status on. 

im on a  XP pro with SP3 with all the latest updates for XP and for the HP software and firmware.iv got 3 other devices connected to my router which works perfectly fine so i know theres nothing wrong with that.

any help or suggestions would be greatly apperciated!

On your printer push the setup button, number 8 than 4, which is network, than the wireless setup wizard. It will detect and config your printer into the network.

Than check the units settings--get the new ip address, check the puters to see what ip they have for the printer. I.E. Printers and faxes in control panel, right click the pritner icon--click on properties--click on ports (it should say an tcp/ip port) --click configure port-- change it if it is different. You can also anytime open up your browser and put in your printers ip address to see it on the network. Tell me if any of these work or if you need more help

I am trying to do the same thing but I do not have an option 4 for network.  Any clues?

The Photosmart 2610 does not have wireless, that was a feature for the Photosmart 2710.  Go to Setup, 8, 3, 2, OK, 2 and then set the IP address, mask and gateway.
