printer drops offline after printing 1 document

windows 7 SP 1, HP Officejet 7680; just allowed critical update from HP to fix network connection problems

Using OS 10.7.4, HP Printer Color Laserjet cf1312rfi MFP.

 

Connection is through Time capsule.  It will print one job, then I get a message saying "printer is offline."

 

I have to then connect the printer directly to the computer.  Then I can print.  And if I then return to the Time Capsule connection, it will print one job again and then go offline again.

 

What gives???
