using a different wifi card in a Photosmart C309A

I'm one of the many people that has a Photosmart C309a that the wifi card died shortly after warranty.  I found a C309 at a recycle place and pulled the card (hey, they only charged me $5 for it).  The number on the card is 1150-7936, not 1150-7931 that has been said in the forums.  Do any techs think the 7936 will work??

The 1150-7936 is from a C310a and will not work in a C309a.  Sorry.  You could pull the failed card from your printer and compare them.

***Note to those desparately searching for 1150-7931 cards:

 

I tried replacing the 1150-7931 with a 1150-7930. There are similar except for the jack (I assumed that the right angle jack is the "1" designation in the s/n)  I assumed wrong– it did not work.

I have a c309g and the wireless card in mine is the 1150-7936.  I am trying to find a replacement right now.  Found one is Australia good price unfortunately there is a $13 shipping fee.  Will continue my search.
