Re: wireless printer not picking up signal

What router?  How far away is it?  Have you restarted the router and printer?

Re: wireless printer not picking up signal

OK, great, thanks for that.  I wonder if the printer's radio has failed.  From the front of the printer: Setup > Network > Wireless Network Test.  On that printout should be a self-test of the radio.

What does it say?

Wireless Network Test Report:

Wirless router requires WPA security passphrase. Is this a 10 charactier phrase letter & number combination?

If so, when entering into printer keypad, how do I switch from letters to numbers?

Is trhis the info you wanted from Test Report?

Re: wireless printer not picking up signal

No, I wanted a self-test result about the printer's radio.  Is the radio turned ON?

The keypad works like an old-style cell phone, keep hitting a button until you get the character you want.  For example, these characters are on the 4 button: 4, g, h, i, G, H, I.

Re: wireless printer not picking up signal

The term "radio" is not on this report.  Wireless is on, wireless is working and the only thing is "failed" was Security.  does that mean something is blocking it?

Re: wireless printer not picking up signal

Oh, OK, some printers use wireless instead of radio.  it sounds like the printer radio is OK and you simply have an issue with your WPA password.  Are you sure of the password?  It is case-sensitive.
