@me_8,

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that you are unable to print from your HP DeskJet 2130 All-in-One Printer via your remote desktop.

This issue could occur if the correct drivers are not installed on the remote desktop.

Let's go through a few steps to resolve this issue.

And here's the step by step guide for you listed below:

Step 1: Enable Printer on the local computer

Perform these steps on the local computer:
1. On the local PC, open Remote Desktop Connection (RDC)
2. Enter the address you want to connect to
3. Click Options
4. Click the Local Resources tab
5. Place a check mark in Printers in the Local devices and resources section.
6. Click Connect, enter your username and password details if required and allow it to bring up the desktop
7. On the remote PC, check to see if the printer is visible as an icon in the Control Panel > Printers screen.
If the printer is not visible, then follow step 2.

Step 2: Install the printer driver on the remote PC
Perform these steps on the remote computer
1. Firstly verify if you need to install the printer driver on the remote PC by checking that the printer driver is the problem as described in the symptoms section of this article.
2. The easiest way to get the printer drivers installed in the correct place in Windows is by installing a dummy local printer on the Remote PC.
3. Click Start > Printer & Faxes
4. Click Add Printer
5. Click Next > select Local Printer
6. Uncheck Automatically detect and install my plug and play printer > Click Next
7. Select a Printer Port:  select Use the following port:  FILE: (print to file) > Click Next
8. Click Have Disk
9. Browse to the location of the printer driver for the printer you are trying to use, select the INF file and click OK
Note:  You will probably have to download the printer driver from the HP website (http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/HP-DeskJet-2130-All-in-One-Printer-series/...) to the remote PC and store them in a folder somewhere convenient such as the desktop.
10 Select the printer from the list and click Next
11. Give the printer a name select that it should not be the default printer > Click Next
12. Select Do Not Share This Printer > Click Next
13. Do not print a test page (it’s only a dummy printer!) > Click Next
14. Click Finish – Windows will now copy all the required drivers and complete the install.
15. Disconnect from your Remote Desktop computer session by clicking Start > Disconnect
16. Reconnect to the remote PC through Remote Desktop computer.
17 Check the Printers list – you should have 2 printers installed now (in addition to any other printers on the remote PC of course); the dummy one and the real one.
You should be able to tell the real one from the dummy one because the dummy one will have a little picture of a disk beside the printer icon.

Let me know how this works.

You have a good day ahead.
