Deskjet 940c doesn't respond to my Windows 7 64 bit.

I have successfully downloaded the 940c driver and the 940c shows as available in my devices and printers page,  and I have it set as my default printer.   I'm connecting with a Radio Shack 6 ft  USB-A  to Centronics Parallel cable.

Nothing happens when I try to print a document...the printer doesn't blink or make any sound,   and I don't get any kind of error message anywhere.

Under Ports did you select USB001?

I selected LPT 1  as port,  but I have not selected any particular  USB connection.   And how can I determine which is which?

Re: Deskjet 940c doesn't respond to my Windows 7 64 bit.

It is the USB001 (Virtual printer port for USB) port.
