Having searched Google on the issue I am now using Easy Scan for scanning but I am having issues with printing. The problem now is that the printer does not connect even though it is using the correct WiFi network. I have downloaded the latest available driver and followed the prompts to add the printer manually using the IP address and selecting the "Jetdirect - Socket" from the Protocol field, as it could not be found on the network. All to no avail the error still comes back with "Printer is not connected".
The driver version is stated as 2.0, however, from an HP support site it should using version 3.3.2
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for using the HP Forums.
Can you download and install the FULL feature printer software from HP for your operating system:
http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-envy-5530-e-all-in-one-printer-series/5304881/mod...
Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.

Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.
