I'm also having this problem. I attempted the basic reset posted in the replies and also tried cleaning the cartriges (one of which is brand new) and nothing worked. Can I have the more advanced reset instructions emailed to me? I'm very frustrated because this printer is not even a year old!

I am having the exact same problem as those on this thread. This is a brand new 1 hour old printer with brand new cartridge's.
I have done the hard reset and removed the ink while powered on and then rebooted with the cartridges removed.
The printer did notice they were missing but when replaced it did not suggest alignment.
I think I need the harder reset instructions please.

I, too, am having an alignment - done all the recommended troubling-shooting. Whatever was sent to the others, please forward it to me.
My problem was due to a mis-aligned, damanged print cartridge - exchanged for a new one and printing is fine now.

I am having the same problems too. I have tried the reset multiple times but I still get the Alignment Error. Please provide me some more guidance. This is getting very frustrating.

MY ADVICE: Go for "direct" USB CABLE connection!!!!!
