Did you resolve your grayscale color reverse issue? I use this function all the time and have just developed this issue on a Vista 64bit HP laptop.

No solution to my problem. No matter what I tried, (installing/uninstalling various windows version drivers), I still get the dreaded inverted grayscale problem.
For the record, I am running Win7 Pro x64.
For now I am printing in colour....hopefully HP will come around and produce proper drivers for this printer.

Hope it is not lip service and really - thanks for the update. I am at the point of needing to purchase new toner, and the question is what to do. If HP does nothing, then I guess a new printer (different brand). Sure not going to spend money on an HP product if they do not support.

I just found this HP Support document: HP LaserJet, Color LaserJet and LaserJet MFP Products - Product Support for Microsoft Windows 7 which says:
HP Color LaserJet 3600NOTE: The Windows Vista HP Color LaserJet 3600 host based driver (version 61.082.61.41) is currently available for download for those that require an immediate solution, however the use of this driver will be at your own risk as it has not been completely qualified and tested for use within the Windows 7 operating system. Early testing results have been positive, however it is recommended to test this driver prior to implementation within a production environment. HP will be providing an update soon regarding the final solution for the HP Color LaserJet 3600.
I find it weird that no one at HP bothers to reply in this forum and let us know what's going on. "Join the conversation!" it says at the top of this page. Yes please.

Saw this change to the site last night as well. Just the same thing all of us have found that partially works.
As for HP, guess customer service in not in the vocab. You would think that they would post at least something in response to all these comments. Truth in the pudding though is if they actually do get an official fix - time will tell. In the meantime, just waiting before I restock on toner that is just about out.

HP has now added this to there drivers page
HP Color LaserJet 3600 - Category 2NOTE: The Windows Vista Color LaserJet 3600 host based driver (version 61.082.61.41) is the supported driver for Windows 7. The driver is currently available for download at the Download Drivers and Software page under the Color LaserJet 3600 Windows Vista link.

That takes gall!!..... Same driver as before, and same issue as before. Yes it works with Widows 7, however if you wish to print GRAYSCALE, then you get a black page with white text on it. I DO NOT call that working, functional, or the solution. HP.... argh!!!! It is getting to the point customer loyalty has to find another vendor who DOES believe in supporting devices they sell. Don't know how HP can claim this is the fix when the code has NOT been updated (check the date) and STILL has the same issue people have been complaining about (NO GRAYSCALE PRINTING). To claim this is a fix is totally false and does not address the issue begin brought up.
HP could claim this is a temp workaround, but NOT a fix.
IS HP even reading these things to see what people are concerned about?
