Deskjet 3545
Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan

I've got it working before, but after I change my WiFi to Humax (from my ISP) I couldn't get my printer connected.

All other devices (iPhone, Desktop, iPad) are connected normally.

I tried restore factory settings and still I just said my password is wrong.

Anyway to fix, I'm sure my password is correct.

Hey @iBright,

Welcome to the HP Support Forums!

I see that you are having issues with connecting your Deskjet Ink Advantage 3545 e-All-in-One Printer to your network. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet and not a surge protector. Once done, check the password is being entered exactly as it appears on the Mac. To check this on the Mac:

  1. In Spotlight enter Keychain Access to open Keychain Access
  2. Select Passwords on the left.
  3. On the right, double-click on your new network.
  4. Click on Show Password and enter your Mac's Administrator credentials.

Now on the printer enter the network password exactly as it appears on the Mac.

If you need to switch between small letters and capital letters, repeatedly press the same key on your printer to cycle between small letters, capital letters and numbers.

If you are still having issues after following the above, please let me know the error message you see after entering the wireless password. If you are able to connect the printer, please click on Accept Solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. Both icons are below this post.

HiDocCottle,

It shows "Connection Failed. Invalid wireless password. Press Print to print report, Press OK to continue."

any idea ?

It sounds like the password being entered is different from the network password. If the above directions did not confirm the password information, contact your internet provider or whoever provided you with the router and ask them to verify the network password. While they are doing that, just in case, ask them to disable the Guest network and make sure the router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz (Giga-Hertz) band.

Please let me know the results after following the above.

Hi,

I'm the one who set the router password, already reset many times.

The router has both 2.4 and 5 GHz band.

I would still contact whoever provided you with the router for assistance to determine why the printer believes the password is not correct. Please let me know the results after doing so.
