Need help solving the "Attention Required" printer status on my HP LJ 3635. 

I installed the 3630 full driver pack from the HP website, ran the HP Print and Scan Doctor, but still no luck.

My other notebook running WIndows 7 has no issue printing on the same printer.

I understand that you are getting the Attention Required status with your HP DeskJet 3635 printer running on Wndows 10. I am happy to help!

 

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

 

What happens when you print a status report? 

Did you make any changes to the printer before the issue started?

 

In the meantime, let's try these steps here:

 

Please make sure that the printer is connected directly to the wall outlet and not to the surge protector.

Remove the ink cartridges and then try to perform a Hard reset on the printer.

With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

Remove USB cable, if present.

Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.

Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord and then plug back the power cord to the printer.

Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.

Now insert the ink cartridges and then try to print a test page and check if it works.

 

I would start by checking the installed printer software by downloading and running the HP Print and Scan Doctor. This tool can diagnose and fix many printing and printer software related issues. Please use this link to help you with that information: http://hp.care/2biN2XE 

 

If the issue persists, I would suggest you try to uninstall the printer and then install the full feature software:

 

Let's try these steps here:

 

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

13 ). Restart the PC

14 ). Click here to http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/dj3630/DJ3630__Full_WebPack_1107.exe download and install the full feature software.
