HP Officejet J3680 All-in-one Printer

Windows XP Home SP3

Internet Explorer 8

===================

 

After reinstallating the HP J3680 printer I found that:

 

1.- Scann does not work.

 

2.- HP Solution Center does not open, getting the following error message:

 

HP SOLUTION CENTER

No devices have been detected

HP Solution Center will close now.

 

Please advise.

Hi,

Follow the setup instructions here. Perform the setup according to the type of connection that you will use. (USB, wireless or network)

The printer is already reinstalled, after about 5 times of trying.

 

The problem is with the HP Solution Center. I cannot open it.

 

The "scanner" is not working.

So if you press scan on the printer control panel it will not scan?

That means there is a firmware problem with your printer. I will see if I can find reset instructions and//or a firmware update for your printer. Choose the appropriate Operating System  in the web document to download and run the update.

The problems are solved !

 

After so many hours spent between DELL and HP, finally I found a Level 2 technician who solved the the problems.

 

He should be Level 10 ! ! !

Hi, I have the same problem with a HP Officejet J3680, but it does not have warranty Smiley Sad.... I just want to know what causes the problem, because I can not copy or scan any document, It just prints.

 

The error massage says: no scan options.

The HP Advisor/Solution Center will not open on my HP Officejet J3680 and  scanner will not work. Please advise...Thank you.
