The generic 6100 does not give the full range of options--ie print quality etc

This is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you want to full feature driver for your HP Photosmart C 6180 printer. I would like to help you resolve this issue.

I made a research and could not find the software for MacOS 10.12.

As an alternative, you can use the built-in driver.

  • Click the Apple menu, then click System Preferences.
  • Click Print & Fax, Print & Scan, or Printers & Scanners.
  • Check if the name of your printer displays in the Printers list.
  • Click the Use or Print Using menu, then select the name of your printer.
  • Click Add to add the printer to the list.
  • Close the System Preferences window.
  • Try to print, scan, or fax, depending on your printer functionality.

Click here to refer the document and perform troubleshooting steps mentioned above to fix this issue.

Let me know how it goes.

I hope it helps and if you feel I have answered your question and concerns,

Please mark this post as a solution accepted and Kudos would also be appreciated.

Cheers.
