ScanJet G4010
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I changed my computer and cannot find the driver for my Scanjet G4010.

HP website said it is retired and no longer supported.

Is there anyway to get a driver so I can use my G4010, it is still in perfect condition.

Hi:

See if this driver works...I have zipped it up and attached it below...

There are no executable files, just the basic driver.

Download and unzip the file to its folder.

Hopefully, the scan utility in W7 will allow you to use the device.

Plug in your scanner, and then the found new hardware message should show up.

In the device manager there should now be an unknown device, or some device needing a driver.

Click on that device, and click on the driver tab.  Click on update driver.

Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and browse to the driver folder you unzipped.

Make sure the include subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.

This driver is supposed to work on both 32 and 64 bit operating systems.

This works.  Thank you very much.

Sorry, I was out of country so did not get a chance to try until now.

HP used to have a Solution Center come with scanners. They also discontinued that.

Is there something like that I can down load so there are more flexibilities in scanning?

Window Fax and Scan does not work too well.

You're very welcome.

Unfortunately, that was the only thing I could find related to that model scanner.
