Hi,

 

I own a htosmart C8100 and an iMac running El Capitan. After an update through the AppStore on August 31st, i lost the ability to use the scanner.

 

I have download Hp Easy scan as mentioned in other post but when i run it, i have an error saying that my scanner is not connected which doesn't seem to be the case because i can succefuly print.

 

My printer is connected via Bluetooth to my computer. I already uninstalled the printer, reset the bluetooth connection, tested the scanner on it's own andeverything works fine.

 

If anybody as any information thank you for sharing.

Hi,

A Bluetooth connection only provide print capabilities either on Mac or Windows, no scan capabiliteis are available by such connection type, a such were never available via a Bluettoth connection,

 

To scan you may connect the pritner via USB or wirelessly, then you will be provided with scanning options bu Pritners & Scanners or HP Easy Scan
